Somewhere in Sierra County, a Golden Turtle worth $2500 is waiting to be found.
This countywide treasure hunt invites you to follow the clues, explore local businesses, and uncover the hidden corners of Truth or Consequences and beyond.
Beginning with a poem, each step of the journey leads you deeper into the adventure, one clue, one stop, and one discovery at a time.
The question is… will YOU be the one to find Tucker??
HOW the hunt WORKS:
1. Register for the Treasure Hunt
Sign up to join the hunt and receive updates.
2. Start with the Poem
The Poem with what you'll need to find Tucker will be sent out on May 3rd or when you sign up, if it is after May 3rd. This is your starting point.
3. Visit the Visitor Center
Stop into the Visitor Center and sign in to receive your first clue beyond the poem.
(This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT clues to obtain)
4. Visit Clue Holder Pit Stops
Participating small businesses serve as “Clue Holder Pit Stops” where you can gain additional clues with a qualifying purchase.
5. Go on the Adventure to Find Tucker!
Follow the initial poem and gained clues as you explore Sierra County and set out to find Tucker the Golden Turtle worth $2500.

The website officially launches on Friday, 4/24/26, and you'll receive the initial clue poem on 5/3/26 to start the hunt, but you've seen this early because you're a local or follow tucker social media.
